Woodbury Beauty Trends for Brides

Prep for your walk down the aisle with some local pampering and beauty enhancements
| February 2012

How do you prepare for the biggest day of your life? By pampering yourself with the latest treatments from local experts of course! Start off with the “Bride-to-Be” spa package at Radiance Med Spa, which owner Rebecca Pappas describes as the “ultimate in pampering and relaxation.” The three-hour package includes a 60-minute deep relaxation massage, digital skin analysis, a 30-minute custom facial, teeth whitening and makeup application. A light lunch and beverage is included in the $249 price tag. Pappas recommends that brides-to-be schedule the treatment a week before their wedding day.

Brides that want to look naturally flawless and not too “made up” will want to head over to Aesthetic Therapies for eyelash extensions. If eyes are the window to the soul, think of your eyelashes as the curtains. Eyelash extensions add length, fullness and thickness to your peepers, but won’t cry or hug off, says Maureen Hines, licensed esthetician and owner of Aesthetic Therapies. Hines suggests brown/black lashes, because “stark black almost always looks too fake and doll-like . . . most women prefer a wispy, yet enhanced look.” A full set of eyelash extensions starts at $100 (price varies based on amount of eyelashes) and the 30-minute procedure lasts three to four weeks.
