Woodbury Photo Contest Winner
Last February, Sandra Stephens and her kids headed out to their favorite sledding hill at Middleton Elementary School. “I never leave my camera behind when we go somewhere,” says Stephens. “It was a sunny day so I knew I would be taking lots of pictures of the kids sledding. The girl in the picture is my 11-year-old daughter, Cassandra—a bit of a daredevil, so it’s always fun catching her in action. Plus she knows not to hit me!”
Stephens, a Math Corps enrichment tutor at Armstrong Elementary School, has entered the Focus on Woodbury photo contest the past six years. “I’ve been very lucky my pictures have placed every year,” she says. “It’s always a thrill to enter the contest. I don’t take pictures with the contest in mind; I usually pick my three favorites of the year (taken in Woodbury). I decided to enter this picture in the contest at the last minute.”
