Sign Up for the Woodbury Citizens' Academy
I've had the pleasure of participating in the Woodbury Citizens' Academy as a presenter on local media night, and it's a fantastic, unique program. A group of 25 people attends 10 sessions to learn about the various aspects of Woodbury: business, education, health and wellness, public safety and more.
The Woodbury Citizens' Academy is hosted by the Woodbury Community Foundation, the City of Woodbury and the Woodbury Lions Club. The 10 sessions begin February 6 and end April 16 with a graduation ceremony. Program participants meet every Monday from 6:30-9 p.m. at various city locations. The program is free; attendance is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Applications are available online now at www.woodburyfoundation.org and are due January 27. For more information, contact Alisa Rabin Bell, executive director of the Woodbury Foundation, at 651.788.6586 or alisa@woodburyfoundation.org.
