Valley Crossing 5K Run/Walk

Valley Crossing Community School hosts its fourth annual 5K fundraising race. After taking a lap around Colby Lake, head into the school cafeteria for face painting, bouncy houses and free food. This year sees the addition of a wellness fair. Minnesota Ironman Bicycle Ride

This is no ordinary bike ride. The Minnesota Ironman returns to South Washington County for the second time in its 48th year. Riders choose between four loops on the day of the race, each of differing lengths and winding through Lake Elmo, Scandia and Stillwater. For an extreme challenge, routes can be combined to form the 100-mile route. Registration opens at 6:30 a.m., all riders must check in and start their ride before 9:30 a.m. 651.434.9626. 18th Annual Ice Show

Watch Woodbury’s finest figure skaters glide across the ice in matchless routines. Beginners, veterans, young and old, are invited to participate and showcase their prowess. The Adventures of Super Stretch

Downward dog. Warrior. Child pose. Yoga isn’t solely for adults; it’s beneficial for kids, too. Join the city of Woodbury for a beginning yoga class focusing on playful yoga poses, breathing exercises and imaginative relaxation techniques. Carver Lake Walleye Wiggle Snowshoe Race

Put your snowshoe skills to the test. The city of Woodbury hosts its first snowshoe race this February. As a member of the Free Braveheart Snowshoe Race Series, snowshoe racers choose from a 5K, 10K or 1K (quarter mile) kid race. Prizes will be awarded. Adults pre-registration, $20. Outdoor Skating and Skiing

Embrace the beauty of a Minnesotan winter by staying active. Woodbury is home to a handful of outdoor skating rinks that feature warming houses, as well as skiing trails.
