Roseville Big Band

It don’t mean a thing if it ain’t got that swing. Swing and sing along to the Roseville Big Band in the city of Woodbury’s Performances in the Park winter series. The band is a 19-piece swing band led by director Glen Newton. 651.714.3583.

The Drowsy Chaperone

Imagine a scenario in which an album spinning on a turntable inspires a musical theater fan to dream up his own plot. Juried Festival of Christian Art

Woodbury Lutheran Church’s art festival is back for its 14th season. In celebration of Lent, the event invites artists to submit pieces with a Christian theme on March 14 from 3–5 p.m. or on March 15 from 9 a.m.–noon. All artistic media are welcome; a panel juries the submissions and cash prizes are awarded for top honors. 651.739.5144.

Woodbury Chorus and Orchestra

The Woodbury Chorus and Orchestra showcases talented volunteer performers; it officially received a nonprofit status in 1992. Each performance invites its audience members to give free will offerings to help contribute to food shelves in areas where the group is performing. Since 1985, the group has received more than $386,500 in offerings. The Woodbury Chorus and Orchestra is also performing at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in North St. Paul on March 30. Home Cookin’ Concert

Stew something up early on this month with the East Metro Symphony Orchestra. The Home Cookin’ Concert features members of the orchestra as soloists and in chamber ensembles. 651.200.4610.

Jazz at the Park

Woodbury High School’s jazz ensembles showcase their talents in multiple performances throughout the winter and spring. Performers are divided into two groups, Jazz I and Jazz II. Jazz in the Park showcases the talents of these students in their most memorable performance of the season. Ticket prices include beverages and appetizers. 651.768.4400.

10th Annual Daddy/Daughter Dance

For the past 10 years, Woodbury fathers and daughters alike gather to celebrate and dance the night away. Food, sponsored by Kowalski’s Market, is available for sale. Tattoos, photos and trinkets are also available to purchase. Dads, join over 1,100 other dancers and grab your daughter for a spin on the dance floor. 651.768.4500.
