LOUD at the LIBRARY: Open Mic+Art Night

Open Mic: A live show where audience members who are amateur performers are given the opportunity to sing, rap, play an instrument, recite poetry, spoken word or comedy on a stage. (Must be family-friendly) A professional, multi-channel sound system, electric piano, acoustic guitar and bongos are available for use. Soundtracks and instrumentals brought on your phone or device can also hook into our sound system.

Charles Lazarus Featured Performer with the Edina Concert Band

World renowned trumpeter, Charles Lazarus, is the featured special guest performer at the Edina Concert Band concert at Edina High School Fick Auditorium on Monday, October 30th, 7 pm.  Lazarus is a multi-faceted performer, composer, producer and band leader whose career has included tenures with the Dallas Brass, Meridian Arts Ensemble, Canadian Brass, and the Minnesota Orchestra.  He has also performed with the Empire Brass, New York Philharmonic Principal Brass, London Brass, Barry White and opened for Tony Bennett.

MacPhail Free Family Music Series: Jack Brass Band

The Jack Brass Band is back! A Free Family Music Series favorite, this group of musicians brings New Orleans jazz to Antonello Hall. Tap your toes to, ‘When the Saints Go Marching in’, ‘Iko Iko’, ‘You Are My Sunshine’ and many more! After the concerts come say hello to Mr. Trombone, Trumpet or Sousaphone!

The 451st Army Band to Perform at Covenant Village of Golden Valley

Honor and celebrate U.S. military veterans when the 451st Army Band’s “Patriots of Note” performs on Friday, Nov. 10, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Covenant Village of Golden Valley. The 12-piece variety ensemble features brass, woodwinds, percussion and vocals. The band is comprised of musicians from the 451st Army Band. The performance is free and open to the public. The 39 Steps presented by the Wayzata High School Players

Englishman Richard Hannay must uncover the truth behind a series of
mysterious murders and stolen military information in 1930's Britain.
His escapade leads him all over the English countryside in search of the
meaning behind the enigmatic "39 Steps." Over 150 characters are played
by a versatile cast of four actors in an over the top theatrical tour
de force that has been hailed by critics and audiences on the West End
and Broadway.The 39 Steps will be performed in the Black Box Theatre at Wayzata High School from October 6-14, 2017.
