Education in Society with Katherine Kersten

Liberty Classical Academy of White Bear Lake will be hosting Katherine Kersten, Senior Fellow at Center of the American Experiment, on Tuesday, March 5 at 7 pm for their Education in Society event. The night will open with an interview by Headmaster, Rebekah Hagstrom and Katherine on the topic of Confusion in the Classroom: How Racial Equity Policies are Shaping Today's Schools.

A panel of local public school teachers will then present their experiences with racial equity training, followed by a time of open Q&A.

Wild Ones 2019 Design With Nature Conference

The Wild Ones Annual Design With Nature Conference offers insights into topics impacting the native plant movement, always encouraging us to embrace the connection of native plants to the ecological health of our communities.

The Vietnamese Art of Stir Fry

This tasty class explores the Vietnamese art of stir fry, and helps attendees learn how to put together healthy, quick dishes, usually in less than an hour. Instructor Hoa Young teaches the basics, and you’ll make a vegetarian stir fry dish with tofu and long beans, plus a seafood stir fry with shrimp and greens.

Winter Constellations in the Show-Dome

Take some time to look up this Saturday, as this event teaches about the constellations visible in the winter months. Make a star wheel you can take home with you to help you find even more constellations throughout the year. Ages 5+ with an adult. Free. 3-3:45 p.m. Penn Lake Library, 612.543.5669.

Work of Art: Recordkeeping for Artists

This program teaches you how to track revenues and expenses, make projections and more to help you make your artistic ventures financially successful ones. Divorce Workshop

Second Saturday Twin Cities offers non-biased financial, emotional and legal advice from qualified local professionals to help people survive the divorce process and move forward with confidence toward a new life.

This workshop is designed to help individuals take the next step, no matter where they are in the process of untying the knot. Second Saturday deals with the legal, financial, family and personal issues of divorce in a logical, yet compassionate way.  Second Saturday is a national program created by WIFE.org.
