Junior Olympic Archery Development in Woodbury

JOAD is a program of USA Archery that teaches archery to young people, provides opportunities for awarding achievement, and helps archers enjoy the sport recreationally or progress to the excitement of competition.

St. Croix JOAD will be starting its winter training session on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 6:30.

State of the City Address

The Woodbury Area Chamber of Commerce sponsors this popular annual event which updates residents on the economic condition of the city and upcoming projects/goals. Mayor Mary Giuliani Stephens will make the presentation. More Free eBooks @ Your Library

Thanks to a new partnership between the Metropolitan Library Services Agency  (MELSA) and 3M Library Systems, users of the 100 metro public libraries in the seven-country metro now have free and fast access to thousands of additional eBooks.

To celebrate there will be a demonstration open to the public at the George Latimer Central Library in downtown St. Paul at 9 a.m. on Thursday, September 4 and pop-up stands providing more information at Park and Rides and Farmers’ Markets.

Honey Bees

Honeybees are environmental superheroes. Not only do these insects produce sweet, syrupy honey, but they also pollinate the flowers that grow the food we love to eat. Learn more about this mighty insect and sample different types of honey with naturalist Mick Garrett from the Dodge Nature Center. Families with children ages 3-10. Many baby-boomers worry about the care needs for an elderly parent.  Their parents may live with the uncertainty of chronic illness and disability and have a whole host of planning issues.  However, either caregivers are overwhelmed with conflicting information or don't know where to seek help.  Such a lack of information, or the wealth of conflicting information, adds to their anxiety about caring for an elderly parent.  Indeed, it takes a team to protect an elderly person and every aspect of planning should be addressed.

Night to Unite

Every year in August, communities around the U.S. gather for National Night Out, an evening of food, entertainment and conversation. National Night Out (also known as Night to Unite) began in 1984 as an initiative of the National Association of Town Watch (NATW) to promote neighborhood camaraderie and involvement in crime prevention organizations and activities.
