Aquatennial Celebrations

Kick off the week of celebrations with Minnesota’s largest nighttime parade along Hennepin Avenue, marvel at the Twin Cities River Rats as they perform entertaining tricks on the water, up your fitness game and partake in the Torchlight 5k or sit back and watch in awe at one of the top five annual firework displays in the nation on Saturday evening. Manitou Days Parade

Prayer Breakfast

Early this month, the annual Woodbury Area Prayer Breakfast will be held at Inwood Oaks Event Center. Marketing coordinator Lisa Boe says, “The theme this year is ‘Equipped with God,’ Philippians 4:13. We will have a panel of well-known local sports figures [who] will share their story [of] how they have been equipped with God.” Organizers expect hundreds of guests at the event. Welcome Spring

St. Ambrose of Woodbury Catholic School invites the community to its annual fundraising event. The Spring Shindig includes dinner and drinks, a live auction, a raffle for a snazzy new car, and live music. Assistant principal Erin Nemetz says, “Last year, our Spring Shindig raised over $60,000 to support our long-term tuition endowment fund. We hope to exceed that amount this year. This fund is used to help families in need of financial assistance experience the wonderful, Catholic education that Saint Ambrose has to offer.”  Read more about Welcome Spring
