The orchestra will also perform twentieth century composer William Grant Still’s Serenade for Orchestra and the overture from Carl Maria von Weber’s opera Oberon. \nBrahms’ Symphony No. 4 is the fourth and final concert in EMSO’s 2025-2026 concert season.

DESCRIPTION:East Metro Symphony Orchestra (EMSO) is pleased to present Rhapsody in Red\, White\, and Blue at 3 p.m. on March 15 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. \nIn honor of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States\, music celebrating the unique and diverse influences of America will be the focus of the concert. Soloist\, collaborative artist and educator Amos Lucidi will join the orchestra on piano for George Gershwin’s vibrant and genre blending Rhapsody in Blue. EMSO will also perform Antonín Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9\, also known as the New World Symphony\, inspired by the composer’s experiences in America in the 1890’s; and José Moncayo’s folk and dance music inspired Huapango. \nAdmission to this concert is free.
