East Metro Symphony Orchestra (EMSO) is pleased to present Italian Symphony. Admission to this concert is free. Donations in support of the orchestra’s work in the community are always appreciated.
The featured performance of this concert will be Felix Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 4, commonly known as the Italian Symphony. Inspired by the country for which it is named, this piece is a bright and lively symphony that the composer described as “blue sky in A major.” The concert will also include performances of Roman Carnival Overture by Hector Berlioz and Danzón No. 2 by modern Mexican composer Arturo Márquez.
Italian Symphony is the first concert in EMSO’s 2024-2025 concert season. For more concert and season information, visit EMSO’s website at www.emsorch.org.
