Hobbyist photographer Olivia Costa had just taken up the activity two months prior when she found this unique subject. “It felt like finding a shiny Pokémon in the wild,” Costa says. “Something a bit unexpected and slightly surreal.” Costa had previously spotted the albino squirrel when it was building a nest and exploring, but it wasn’t until a late June evening that she captured the spontaneous photo.
