This May, the Colletti Royale is the perfect cocktail to celebrate Mother’s Day. Featuring rosé and blood orange juice, this beverage is sure to be a refreshing delight.

One of the most influential bar and lounge owners in New York City, Julie Reiner, introduced this gem of a cocktail at her bars in 2013, and it has been catching eyes ever since. It adds elegance and flair to one of America’s most popular cocktails, and its spritzy—yet boozy—flavor profile will satisfy anyone looking to shake things up this Mother’s Day!

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ oz. tequila
  • ½ oz. Cointreau
  • ½ oz. St. Germain
  • ½ oz. blood orange juice
  • ½ oz. lime juice, freshly squeezed
  • 2 dashes orange bitters
  • sparkling rosé, chilled, to top (approximately 2 oz.)
  • blood orange, to garnish

In a shaker with ice, combine all ingredients except for sparkling rosé, and shake until chilled. Strain into a wine glass filled with ice. Top with sparkling rosé. Garnish with a blood orange wheel. Enjoy.

Tip: Want to make it even more unique? Experiment with different types of sparkling wine in place of rosé! Brut, for example, would make it less sweet. Meanwhile, Moscato D’Asti would make it sweeter.
