Belwin Conservancy hosts quarterly program.

This March, get outside and enjoy the changing of the seasons at Belwin Conservancy during its Women Walking event. “This is a program geared for women over the age of 16,” says Lynette Anderson, interpretive naturalist at Belwin Conservancy. “The goal is to bring mindful awareness to the seasonal change in each of our lives and spend time on the trail quietly being immersed in nature at night together.”

Women Walking is held each year during the vernal equinox, summer solstice, autumnal equinox and winter solstice. Anderson says the evening starts with indoor yogic-centering exercises, conversations, snacks and warm beverages, followed by walking meditations and experiences in the woods and prairies. The evening concludes with a campfire, treats and sharing.

“… Women love the camaraderie, the quiet walking, the campfire and being able to share in a safe space,” Anderson says.
