Woodbury Area Chamber of Commerce’s popular kickball tournament returns this month.
Last year saw the inaugural Woodbury Area Chamber Kickball Tournament, and it was an unequivocal success, selling out every ticket. The event aims to bring together Woodbury business owners, employees and other community members, all to benefit the chamber’s initiatives.
This month, check out the second annual tournament at Ojibway Park. Teams made up of chamber members play at a discounted rate ($250 for a member team of up to 15 players), while non-member teams can also get in on the fun ($350 for a non-member team of up to 15 players; a minimum of five players must work at a Woodbury business). You can also register as an individual ($25). The event includes kickball, plus food and other activities under the late-summer sun.
Last year, “six teams competed on two fields for a full day of friendly, costume-themed competition and fun. Food, vendors, a VIP tent and prizes topped off the day and will be back—with more—for this year’s tournament, which will be capped at 10 teams,” says chamber president Laurie Staiger.
