Discover how to create a culinary masterpiece just in time for the holidays.
Dodge Nature Center (dodgenaturecenter.org) will host a Taste and Learn class focused on building and tasting charcuterie boards from 1–2:30 p.m. November 7. Naturalist and workshop leader Teresa Root says she created the Taste and Learn series two years ago to cater specifically to adults.
Root aims to have this workshop in the fall as a precursor to the holiday season; her goal is to give participants confidence in creating a charcuterie board at home and expand upon the knowledge from the class.
The workshop will begin with an introduction to charcuterie and its history, focusing on featured meats, and participants sample prearranged boards. Finally, attendees will create their own delicious board and learn how to make a salami rose.
