Make Your Own Gingery Orange Soda

Gingery Orange Soda

Enjoy a sparkling beverage that’s dairy- and gluten-free and vegan. Spices can pack a powerful punch of supposed health benefits.   • ¼ cup water
  • ¼ cup superfine sugar
  • ¼ cup fresh ginger, peeled and sliced
  • ¼ oz. fresh mint, plus more sprigs for garnish
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • ¾ cup club soda
  • ice
  • orange wedges, for garnish

In a small saucepan, combine water, sugar and ginger over high heat. Bring to a boil; stir until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat; add mint and juice. Chill completely. Stir to combine; strain evenly into 2 highball glasses over ice. Top with club soda; stir gently, and garnish with orange wedges.
