Adia Vang is recognized by the Brooklyn Park-based education nonprofit.
BestPrep is a Minnesota-based nonprofit organization that is dedicated to providing students with business, career and financial literacy skills. This year, it awarded Adia Vang of Woodbury High School (WHS) its Student of the Year Award.
The award is given to a student who has demonstrated going above and beyond for BestPrep, being a leader and showing exemplary service to others. The recipient of this award also receives a $2,500 scholarship to the university of their choice.

Adia’s experience with BestPrep has shaped her personal and professional growth. She attended BestPrep’s Minnesota Business Venture program in 2023 and returned as a student leader in 2024.
“My connection with BestPrep has been the most beneficial thing in my life professionally and personally,” Adia says. Through BestPrep, she has developed her communication, leadership and teamwork skills, which she applies to both her student and daily life.
Adia plans to attend Minnesota State University, Mankato, to pursue accounting, and she credits this choice to BestPrep. She is currently the Senior Tutoring Chair and Board Member of the National Honor Society at WHS.
