When Bryan Huang immigrated to the United States from Taiwan as a teenager in 1990, he didn’t anticipate that it would become his second home. He moved to Minnesota in 2007 for his career, where he met his wife, Teresa Wu from California; the couple lived between Taiwan and Minnesota for several years before settling down in Woodbury with their twin daughters, Ashley and Kaitlyn, 9, in 2023—the perfect place to raise a family, Huang says.
Although the couple anticipated difficulties moving back, their core group at Eagle Brook Church and their former neighbors at Stonemill Farms welcomed them back with open arms. “Having that village in Woodbury has really been able to keep us afloat,” Wu says. “We’re really blessed that we have our home away from home.”
“We’ve seen Woodbury is growing,” Huang says. “We were away for four years, and we came back, and it’s continued to grow. Not only that, but in the last two years, we noticed Woodbury has a lot more diverse restaurants and cultural food. So that’s another huge plus, and it’s welcoming.”
Although the family has moved over the years, Huang says Woodbury is their forever home. Wu adds, “Woodbury is a great city, a great place to live with great education and schools. No complaints. It’s a beautiful city.”
