Farmers' Market

The growing season has officially started. Stop by the Central Park parking lot between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. any Sunday between June 15 and October 26 to stock up on locally-grown meat, vegetables, fruits, flowers and bakery items. Talk to the growers who labor in the fields while the kids play a match-the-vegetable game. May Day Tea

The first May Day celebrations date back before Christian times. Today, May poles and May Day baskets are commonplace. It calls for a day to dress up, at least in Woodbury. Young girls invite your moms, grandmothers, aunts, friends, sisters; any and all significant women figures are welcome. Festivities include a tea tasting, bingo, a craft and a photo opportunity.
