Giving Back

In February, the Rotary Club of Woodbury hosted its annual gala to raise funds for various community initiatives. The evening at Royal Golf Club included food, drinks, music from the Lake String Quartet and comedy from John DeBoer.

For the 10th year running, Woodbury is supporting the Children’s Hospitals and Clinics in fashionable flair. The Open Your Heart Gala features a cash bar, dinner, and silent and live auctions led by master emcee Eric Rislove.

The community celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Christian Cupboard Emergency Food Shelf at a fundraising event held at Guardian Angels Church.

Give Jim Reckinger two choices: a sandy white beach in Mexico or a landscape of crunchy snow with below-freezing temperatures and a bitter wind chill, he’d always choose the latter. Well, at least during Nordic skiing season.
