In February, the Rotary Club of Woodbury hosted its annual gala to raise funds for various community initiatives. The evening at Royal Golf Club included food, drinks, music from the Lake String Quartet and comedy from John DeBoer.

Face painting. A parade. Rides for kids. Miss Woodbury. While these components have played a consistent role in Woodbury Days, the community celebration has grown and changed over its 35-year history.

The Wedgewood homeowners’ association turns 20 years old this summer. Although this planned development dates back to 1984 beginning with construction of Wedgewood (now Prestwick) Golf Course, the homeowner association was incorporated in 1993.

Brian Risch, the Woodbury resident and local franchise owner of Jersey Mike’s Subs, has brought the East Coast sandwich style to town. With 600 stores in the United States, Jersey Mike’s offers a true deli experience with cold and hot subs as well as wraps.
